Someone turned 5:
Please excuse the poor picture quality. The video camera takes CRAP pictures apparently. |
Voila. Brownie Birthday Pizza for my brownie lovin' boy . How cute is this? |
The next day we went to Disneyland. I'd LOVE to say it was a magical experience, but yeah... This pretty much sums it up.
I'm SO OVER these long lines. |
We will NEVER do Disney during the summer ever again. Lesson learned.
Too. Many. People.
Too. Many. Lines.
Too. Many. Meltdowns.
I think the kids really need to be a little older as well. They each wanted to ride different rides and they each had different height restrictions, which limited them on some of the rides.
Good times were had at various points during the day (eventually) by all, however.
Love me some Autopia. Thanks for the whiplash, bud! Up next... Evan KILLS it at his first Sandsharks meet. Stay tuned... So proud of him! |
Aww too bad about the lines. I never went as a kid and my first time was with my kids when my my youngest was 2 months old. We went with my husband for a work trip in September. It was the perfect time to go...hardly any line...so if you go again, this time of year is really nice if you can get away. We ended up going back again this past September but I had a torn hamstring. The positive thing about that was that we got a pass and didn't have to wait in any lines at all...this was also kind of uncomfortable with the looks we got since people might have assumed that nothing was wrong with me. Happy Birthday to your little guy!
ReplyDeleteYes, I"m not the biggest Disney fan, I must admit...lines, rude people, horrible prices, etc. But sounds like you made the best of it.
ReplyDeleteaw, I love Disneyland so much, lines included. Although I don't think I've ever done it in the summer, so that may be why I can handle the "lines"...It's worth pulling them out of school for a day to go in January or February -- that's always the best time!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday 5th birthday to the handsome boy!
